WHAT IS MINDFUL COMMUNICATION?

AWARENESS

Simply being aware is the first step of being mindful.

LISTENING

There are over 7,000 languages on earth, yet humans, given any language and within any culture, struggle with communication skills.

MEDIATION

A mediator’s doctrine of practice about communication is problematic given that both sides need to agree on something in common before they proceed.

mindful communication

Tactic and strategies can be used by a resourceful mediator; however, some if not all the five elements must be implemented into the conversation. Understand that not everyone can master mindful communication skills, it is a practice like medicine, law, and science.

The virtual outcome of a situation is also predictable given a history of trust and engagement of authority figures in a community.

Without words, nothing is. In a traditional educational system, seminar, or workshop we begin to provide a sense of “true communication” and return to commonality (when we all have something in common) and our sense of being human, trust in others and discipline without force is established.

DEREK CHAUVIN & GEORGE FLOYD (WHAT DIDN’T HAPPEN)

Minneapolis Police Officer: Excuse me sir, were you the gentlemen in the store trying to purchase some snacks and a drink.

Resident of Minneapolis: Yes Officer.

Minneapolis Police Officer: Well, they thought that it was altered, perhaps a counterfeit bill. Did you have another form of payment?

Resident of Minneapolis: No Officer, it’s the only cash that I have.

Minneapolis Police Officer: Well, they are not going to return it and they called us for assistance.

You should try to recall where you receive that bill and tell them it was just bad, okay?

Resident of Minneapolis: Okay, thank you Officer.
